online harassment

The individual behind the Twitter account @punishthepoor is known to the Met Police for her stalking & harassment of many people including me. Twitter also recognises her abuse and harassment. Those who find themselves a victim of her behaviours, can report to the Met Police as well as Twitter, her details are known to both.

    1. We are Matthew, thank you and the police are brilliant, I just want others who are targeted to know that they can do something and don’t have to suffer, the more who report, the stronger the case for prosecution.

      1. So sorry this is happening to you, Karen. Troubling to know and see such behaviour and aggression by some online – it’s something too eerily familiar for those of us who are in this and then working so hard to reverse the damage it brings.

If only they could know the depth of the healing we try to bring to our kids every day we breathe on this earth.

Sounds like this person could use a love dose of their own to combat their inner hate. So glad the police are on it.

I hope you stay safe and well.

      2. Thank you Michelle, we have had a lot of support from the police and other sources, we will keep supporting others too so that this is stopped. K

    2. Really? It’s the opposite from what I have seen. The Parental Alienation have targeted her (assume it’s a her) and are absolutely obsessed, posting what you think is personal information about her and trying to find out where she lives so someone can go round. I’m sure the police are aware of all that.

      1. I am not sure what you think is going on Elle but I think it is probably best to have the facts in the round before making assessments from a knee jerk perspective. I have no idea what is going with ‘The Parental Alienation’ whatever that is or who it is. If people are wanting to find out who this person is, perhaps it is her own behaviour which has created that and yes indeed, I am sure that the Met Police have all of the information about what is going on behind the scenes.

  2. @punishthepoor harrassed me too on twitter. @scott_putnam . Calling me racist and misogynist without any eviddence, and she was reading all my profile information onine to develop smears against me- such as my children and wife. It began because I was defending someone else she was attacking, and she began to attack me. This is the pattern. She gets triggered when her nasty bullying behavior is challenged, and she lashes out and attacks people online.

Overall,I think it is better her if behavior is exposed, rather than being silienced in Twitter. She could become more dangerous, physically violent, if she is banned fromTwitter. Thanks Karen for making her behavior known on your blog.

    1. The police are doing their job Scott, the more who report the pattern of behaviours they experience from this individual, the easier it is for them to prosecute. I do not get involved in any of this, it is deeply damaging behaviour, I just want to let others who are attacked know that there is recourse to the law to stop this. Report any targeting of you to the Met Police referring to her website and twitter account, her details are known and the police team dealing with this on the ground are at Brixton police station. You should however, report to 101 in the first instance, either by phone or using the online form and the report will be sent through to them.

  3. Dear Karen,
It must have an impact and I am without words this happens to good people. Know that there are enough people left to love having you around and love you for sharing your knowledge. Love from my side to you and your family💛

    1. Thank you CvO, it has had an impact but we are supported by the police and having moved house so that she does not know where we live anymore, we are safe and feel safer. Doing this work for children has always attracted the negative transference from those whose own split thinking causes unbalanced viewpoints. We press on. K

  4. There are some unpleasant people out there. I was thinking of that one in North London. She harassed a group of mums online and claimed they were members of a cult who cooked babies and ate them! Once people like her get an idea into their heads, it doesn’t matter how much evidence you give them to show they’re wrong, they just can’t let it drop. In fact, most of these conspiracy theory types see evidence that they’re wrong as proof that there is a conspiracy 🙂 She thought she could get away with saying anything but she ended up getting 9 years… although it looks like she’s whining about that…

    1. Dear MM, It takes some time to get enough evidence but the police get there eventually, especially with demonstrable patterns of behaviours and plenty of evidence to go on as there is here. The main thing is to limit the damage that is done on the road to resolution, which is why I have spoken about it at this point, the more people who report the pattern, the more evidence for prosecution. It is very sad that prosecution is the only likely route to stopping this behaviour in people like this, but it appears that it is and so we leave it to the police to do their job. K

  5. God! I’ve just looked at her account. She’s horrible isn’t she. What would make some one so bitter? Take no notice is my advice.

    1. We do take no notice Ian and stay right out of all of it, I have spoken about it at this point because of the harm being done to so many other people, I wanted to let them know that there is recourse to the law and the police are aware of her activities. K

  6. I have now reported to met police too and my husband will do the same – I tried to reach out to you before to see what, if anything, you had done…. I’m glad I have seen this! She has truly been vile and in all honesty, I think it will only take prosecution to stop her.

    1. Her behaviours have been harmful, however I recognise the patterns of those behaviours and what they mean. I have only spoken at this point because of the escalating harm she is doing to others, which saddens me. If prosecution is necessary to stop it however, then that is what will have to happen. I don’t wish her any harm, despite what she has done to us and others and I won’t be saying anything else about the matter, but will let the police get on with their job. K

      1. Thank you for informing us of the met. We will follow suit and do the same – not speak of it. I hope that you and your family now feel safe and that you aren’t subject to any more harm.
